K-STAR verifies blockchain-based digital local currency with BNK Busan Bank

K-STAR, a technology alliance for a won stablecoin-based digital currency infrastructure involving AhnLab Blockchain Company, said on Sunday it completed a proof of concept with BNK Busan Bank to verify blockchain-based payment and settlement infrastructure for digitising local currency. The project aimed to implement an end-to-end policy-based local currency with embedded conditions such as usage locations and validity periods, and to test operational feasibility in a real financial environment.

AhnLab V3 earns A-plus in VB100 certification assessment

AhnLab said on Wednesday its endpoint security solution AhnLab V3 received an A-plus rating in the June VB100 certification assessment by global security evaluator Virus Bulletin. The company said V3 recorded a 100 percent malware detection rate and met the certification criteria on false positives. It added that V3 was the only product among major South Korean security companies in the same assessment to achieve 100 percent detection.

AhnLab joins Japan\'s Interop Tokyo to highlight IT-OT integrated security

AhnLab took part in Interop Tokyo 2026, an IT exhibition held from June 10 to 12 at Makuhari Messe in Chiba, Japan, and introduced integrated security solutions that connect IT and operational technology. It operated a booth with its Japan unit under the theme of keeping worksites running by linking IT and OT. AhnLab showcased its CPS PLUS platform, TIP threat intelligence platform and a cloud-based security management solution for small and midsize firms.
