AhnLab CloudMate, an AX and managed service provider-focused subsidiary of AhnLab, said on May 18 its AI assistant development platform ACMEi won the chairman\'s prize from the Public Sector Ordering Bodies Consultative Council in the AI software category at the 2026 6th Public Sector SW Awards held at the Korea Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Seoul. The company said the platform was recognised for enabling rapid builds without repetitive development and for providing reliable responses by integrating internal data using retrieval-augmented generation technology.

With legislation on South Korea\'s Digital Asset Framework Act delayed, traditional financial firms are moving to secure a foothold in the stablecoin market. Banks and card companies are signing MOUs with global blockchain and payment infrastructure firms and conducting proof-of-concept tests. Several bills remain pending in the National Assembly, while key rules such as issuance requirements, reserve regulation and user protections are not yet detailed. Industry officials expect rivalry to intensify as delays persist.
