OpenAI tests sponsored AI agent feature for some advertisers
OpenAI is testing an ad-supported agent feature inside ChatGPT with some U.S. advertisers, The Information reported on Sept. 16. Users who click an ad can start a conversation with an AI agent to ask additional questions about a product or service. OpenAI said the ad conversation runs separately from a user’s existing ChatGPT chat. The company is also offering advertiser tools through an Ads Manager dashboard and can write ad copy and images, rewrite ad titles and translate them with advertiser consent.
