U.S. Congress criticises South Korea\'s digital rules as discrimination against U.S. firms, Coupang \'witch hunt\'
Criticism has been raised in the U.S. Congress that South Korea\'s digital regulations and efforts to hold Coupang to account amount to discrimination against U.S. companies. At a House Ways and Means trade subcommittee hearing, Chairman Adrian Smith said Seoul was pursuing legislation targeting U.S. firms and violating trade agreements. Other Republicans and Democrats echoed concerns, including claims of a political witch hunt. Seoul says the rules apply equally to all companies.
