Netflix says content investment contributed $325 billion to global economy
Netflix said on May 13 it invested more than $135 billion in content over the past decade and created more than $325 billion in added value for the global economy. Its “Netflix Effect” report said the company produced series and films in more than 4,500 cities and towns across about 50 countries, creating over 425,000 jobs. The report highlighted Korean titles and cited spending, tourism, consumer demand and language-learning impacts.

Netflix’s “Can This Love Be Translated?” is attracting global viewers, with online reactions praising its romantic-comedy appeal and immersive visuals. Naver Webtoon \'Lore Olympus\' to be made into animation series for Prime Video
Naver Webtoon said on Tuesday its English original webtoon \'Lore Olympus\' will be produced as an animated series for Prime Video and released exclusively in more than 240 regions worldwide. The title was discovered on Naver Webtoon\'s amateur platform Canvas and has logged more than 1.8 billion cumulative global views. It won both the Eisner Awards and the Harvey Awards in 2022 and won the Eisner Award for best webcomic for three consecutive years through 2024.
