Palo Alto Networks to acquire Portkey to strengthen AI agent security platform
Palo Alto Networks will acquire AI gateway startup Portkey as it seeks to bolster its security platform for AI agents. Portkey provides a central control platform to manage and protect autonomous AI agents. It currently processes tokens on a monthly scale of several trillion and supports low-latency communication between agents. After the deal closes, Palo Alto Networks plans to integrate Portkey into its Prisma AIRS AI runtime security platform as its AI gateway.

Pulmuone steps up digital transformation with app overhaul, expanded AI use and IT expert appointments
Pulmuone is accelerating its digital transformation through an app overhaul and broader use of artificial intelligence across operations. The company plans to appoint a new outside director with digital strategy experience at its regular shareholders meeting on March 31. Pulmuone has set up an AX innovation office and carried out executive reshuffles to expand AI use group-wide. It is also applying AI to product development, customer review analysis and meal demand forecasting.

Palo Alto Networks buys file security startup Koi
Palo Alto Networks has acquired Koi Security, a startup specialising in enterprise file security, for $400 million, SiliconANGLE reported on Feb. 17 local time. Koi offers a platform that blocks risky file downloads and verifies AI training datasets. It can delay open-source code updates and monitor downloaded files for threats, allowing administrators to delete, isolate or roll back files. Palo Alto Networks plans to integrate Koi into Cortex XDR and Prisma AIRS.
