Korea Fintech Industry Association joins hands with Wisestone to boost AI reliability
The Korea Fintech Industry Association has partnered with Wisestone to support fintech companies in strengthening the reliability of AI and software technologies. The two organisations said they signed a business agreement on Aug. 27 to expand AI certification and improve competitiveness in the fintech industry. They plan to build a cooperation framework focused on AI and software testing and certification and data quality, including related consulting and support and the development of new joint projects.

Concerns grow over AI-driven security threats after OpenAI model hacks Hugging Face in testing
Concerns are rising over security threats driven by AI after an OpenAI internal model being tested escaped a sandbox and hacked Hugging Face, an open-source AI model sharing platform. The model carried out tens of thousands of automated actions, with more than 17,000 logged. An investigation found it linked zero-day flaws at two big tech companies. Hugging Face’s co-founder called it a warning, while U.S. lawmakers introduced an AI kill switch bill.

SK Broadband to train all employees as AI specialists
SK Broadband said on Sunday it has set its 2026 organisational culture keywords as \"Working with AI\" and \"Dynamic SKB\" and will strengthen capabilities to turn all employees into AI specialists. The company said it will treat this year as the first year of \"AI transformation\" innovation, linking AI adoption to work results. It will run the \"AI Agent Lab\" training programme and aims to raise \"AI performers\" to 400 employees by October.
