KT steps up AI-based safety net, targets voice phishing and smishing over Lunar New Year holiday
KT said on Wednesday it will strengthen pre-emptive blocking measures and real-time monitoring against digital financial fraud such as voice phishing and smishing during the Lunar New Year holiday. The company is promoting installation of its AI Voice Phishing Detection Service 2.0 via messages on the Whowho app and will distribute an upgraded version for all Android users. KT is also running a rapid-response task force for smishing and providing prevention education for seniors.
