LG AI Research and Nvidia executives met on April 21 at LG AI Research headquarters in Magok, Seoul, and agreed to strengthen a technology alliance to expand the K-EXAONE ecosystem. The companies plan to broaden cooperation by combining LG\'s EXAONE model with Nvidia\'s Nemotron open ecosystem to jointly develop specialised models. They have continued technical collaboration from EXAONE 3.0 through K-EXAONE and multimodal EXAONE 4.5.

A study cited by Stanford University’s Human-Centered AI institute shows the performance gap between U.S. and Chinese AI has nearly vanished, with models from both countries alternating among top benchmark rankings. The report also highlights declining transparency as private companies expand their influence, and record-low public trust in AI regulation. It says generative AI use has spread rapidly worldwide, while concerns are rising about environmental costs and shifting research diversity.
