Search click-through rate plunges 60 percent; GEO touted as solution for marketing in AI era
Pluszero, a GEO data consulting firm, unveiled an integrated VoC×GEO strategy to counter a search marketing crisis in the AI era. Chief executive Jung Sung-jin said the “zero-click era” is taking hold as users rely on generative AI answers without opening links, with portal search link click-through rates recently plunging 60 percent. He urged marketers to combine SEO with GEO and AEO so AI search engines cite brands first.

In AI era, AI answers become truth, Across CEO says
Lee Jae-hong (이재홍), CEO of Across, says whoever captures AI-generated answers will win in the AI era and what the winner writes becomes the truth. Across develops the generative engine optimisation solution GPTO and the AI mention-ranking platform GenRank. The company was founded in August after securing investment and has five staff including the CEO. It surpassed 1 billion won in monthly sales in April and reached break-even.

Reports and experts point to greater emphasis on user content, website structure, context and platform differences.
