KAIST develops 3D printing technology for photonic semiconductors
KAIST said it has developed a technology to make vertical nanolasers using 3D printing. The work, led by Professor Jitae Kim’s team with POSTECH Professor Junseok Noh’s group, prints perovskite nanostructures vertically with ultrafine electrohydrodynamic control of attoliter-scale droplets. The team said it achieved high-quality structures through gas-phase crystallisation control, improved laser efficiency and demonstrated tunable light colour and security patterns.
