Dassault Systemes to hold AAKRUTI innovation competition for students worldwide
Dassault Systemes is holding the 16th AAKRUTI innovation competition, a design and innovation contest for students worldwide. The global finals are set to take place at Dassault Systemes\' 3DEXPERIENCE World 2027 in Nashville, Tennessee. AAKRUTI 2026 to 2027 will focus on four themes: robotics, solving community issues, healthcare innovation and mobility. Students will apply design thinking and engineering principles to develop solutions with measurable impact using the 3DEXPERIENCE platform and SOLIDWORKS applications.

Dassault Systemes announces winners of 2026 AAKRUTI international student design contest
Dassault Systemes announced the winners of its 2026 AAKRUTI International Student Design Contest at 3DEXPERIENCE World in Houston. The University of Johannesburg’s UJ Wom+n in Tech team won with “Latch,” a pedal-driven breast pump designed to work without electricity or dedicated parts and to fit multiple bottles. Twelve teams from universities in nine countries developed projects using the 3DEXPERIENCE Platform and SOLIDWORKS, competing for $10,000 in prizes.

Dassault Systemes to hold 3DEXPERIENCE World 2026 in Houston
Dassault Systemes will host 3DEXPERIENCE World 2026 in Houston from Feb. 1 to 4. The annual event will gather thousands of SOLIDWORKS and 3DEXPERIENCE platform users to discuss the future of design and manufacturing and share trends in 3D UNIV+RSES and artificial intelligence. Speakers include Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang, hacker and inventor Pablos Holman, and STEAM advocate Jay “Engineezy” Vogler.
