Blockchain company BPMG said it signed a strategic memorandum of understanding with South Korea's internet-only bank Kbank and UAE-based digital asset services firm Changer.ae Limited to cooperate on a stablecoin business. The three companies plan to jointly pursue digital asset-based financial projects and build financial infrastructure using blockchain. They will collaborate on services and technology, review stablecoin business models, and address technical and regulatory issues for cross-border settlement, including a remittance pilot this year.

Cryptolab said on Jan. 15 that its demonstration project for encrypted AI model technology was chosen as the top task among South Korea's 2025 defence experimentation projects, winning a citation from the defence minister. The project, part of the Defence Ministry's Defence Innovation 4.0 strategy, tested secure AI use without data leakage. The company developed an encrypted AI model using homomorphic encryption and plans to expand it to military LLM data protection.
