Coupang U.S. investors petition USTR for arbitration, say Korea discriminates

Major U.S. investors in Coupang have called on the U.S. government to investigate what they described as unfair South Korean regulation of the company and to pursue trade relief measures including tariffs. Greenoaks and Altimeter filed a petition with the Office of the U.S. Trade Representative, foreign media reported. The investors said Korean authorities were taking discriminatory administrative actions against Coupang after a personal data leak, leading to multibillion-dollar losses.
