KAIST develops 'smart door' semiconductor structure to sharply expand storage capacity

KAIST said on Thursday a research team led by electrical and electronic engineering professor Byungjin Cho (조병진) overcame limits to higher-density 3D V-NAND by applying a new material to an ultrathin semiconductor layer. The team used boron oxynitride, or BON, in the tunnelling layer to selectively control charge movement with an asymmetric energy barrier. Tests showed erase speed improved by up to 23 times, with high durability and more precise control in penta-level cell operation.

JobKorea to run Seoul youth internship job camp, link AI talent to jobs

JobKorea, an AI and data-based HR tech platform operated by Worksphere, said on Thursday it will run the Seoul Metropolitan Government’s 2026 Seoul-style youth internship job camp in management and office work and recruit participating companies. The programme aims to strengthen young people’s job skills through collaboration-based internships and connect them to employment. It will run for about 4 months from June to September across business roles including management, office work, business development and operations.

Baemin to support limited-edition drinks for small cafes in Seoul's Jongno and Jung to mark BTS comeback

Woowa Brothers, the operator of Baedal Minjok, said on Thursday it will run a programme to support small cafes in Seoul's Jongno and Jung districts with the development of special limited-edition menus and promotional activities linked to the BTS The City Arirang Seoul event. The support will run from April 6 to April 19 and includes free recipes, ingredients and promotional materials, as well as pickup discount coupons on the Baemin app.
