National Growth Fund to invest 250 billion won in NPU fabless Rebellion

South Korea's Ministry of Science and ICT and the Financial Services Commission said on March 26 they approved a 250 billion won direct investment from the Advanced Strategic Industries Fund into AI semiconductor fabless company Rebellion. The deal is the fourth first-phase mega-project under the 'K-Nvidia fostering' initiative and the first to use direct equity investment. The capital will be provided via redeemable convertible preferred shares.

Dell Technologies steps up cyber resilience to tackle AI and quantum computing risks

Dell Technologies said on March 26 it introduced new security design and cyber resilience features to better protect, detect and recover from next-generation cyber threats. The update focuses on strengthening device security against emerging risks from quantum computing and AI, improving resilience after incidents and extending threat detection to AI data platforms. It also enhances PowerProtect to detect ransomware earlier and speed recovery, and adds AI-guided support for urgent recovery tasks.

KOSPI falls 3 percent to 5,400 level; Kosdaq down nearly 2 percent

South Korean stocks closed lower as geopolitical uncertainty persisted, weighing on broader investor sentiment amid uncertainty over U.S.-Iran negotiations. The KOSPI ended down 3.22 percent at 5,460.46. Foreign investors were net sellers of 3.098 trillion won and institutions sold 337.9 billion won, while retail investors bought 3.059 trillion won. The Kosdaq fell 1.98 percent to 1,136.64. The won weakened to 1,506.20 per dollar.
