[Digital Today reporter Chi-gyu Hwang (황치규)] AI and cloud specialist ITcenCloit said on Aug. 13 it completed registration of Amazon Web Services (AWS) IaaS and cloud support services on the "Digital Service Use Support System" operated by the National Information Society Agency (NIA).
With the registration, public institutions can adopt ITcenCloit’s AWS infrastructure buildout and cloud managed services through private contracts or catalogue contracts without going through complex bidding procedures.
ITcenCloit holds the AWS Government Consulting Competency, which is granted only to partners whose capabilities in supporting government and public-sector customers and project experience have been officially verified by AWS.
ITcenCloit said it will use the registration to mobilise its AWS Advanced Tier and Public Sector Partner (PSP) qualifications and about 200 AWS specialists. It plans to systematically support end-to-end services tailored to public institutions, from pre-assessment consulting to customised migration (Re-Factor, Re-Platform and others) and 24/7 security monitoring.
Jong-woo Seo (서종우), an executive director and head of DX at ITcenCloit, said the registration will allow the company to provide AWS cloud technology to public-sector customers more flexibly and quickly. He said the company will support South Korea’s public institutions in digital cloud innovation by combining expertise validated by the AWS Government Consulting Competency with accumulated know-how in public-sector projects.
