KOFIA overhauls organisation, launches K capital market division
The Korea Financial Investment Association said it has carried out a major organisational overhaul to prepare a long-term growth strategy for the K capital market. The group will expand to a seven-division structure and launch a new K capital market division and task force. It will also add a digital strategy team to support tokenised securities and virtual assets, elevate its real estate trust unit and create new external cooperation and legal support departments.

Nexthurs' Cross listed on European exchange Bitpanda
Utility token Cross will be newly listed on European exchange Bitpanda, according to Cross' official channel. Trading support is to begin at 10 p.m. Korea time, with a euro-based trading pair. The listing is expected to make it easier for European investors to trade Cross using euros. Bitpanda, founded in Austria in 2014, has 7 million users and offers products including virtual assets, securities and ETFs.

South Korea technology trade tops $40 billion for first time; exports and imports hit records
South Korea’s technology trade totalled $40.57 billion in 2024, up $1.97 billion from the previous year and passing $40 billion for the first time, the Ministry of Science and ICT said on Thursday. Technology exports rose 4.1 percent to $18.36 billion and technology imports increased 6.0 percent to $22.21 billion, both record highs. The United States was the largest partner, while China posted the biggest surplus.
