AhnLab Cloudmate's SecureBridge registered on public procurement platform run by science ministry and NIA

AhnLab Cloudmate said on Sunday it registered its generative AI data security solution, SecureBridge, on the Digital Service Use Support System operated by South Korea's Ministry of Science and ICT and the National Information Society Agency. The registration allows public institutions to introduce the product through a catalogue or private contract without complex bidding. The solution detects information entered into external generative AI services to block leaks of sensitive internal data.

Paid TV content fee showdown: PP calls for withdrawal, SO cites coexistence measures

South Korea’s programme provider industry demanded cable TV operators withdraw new standards for calculating content usage fees, saying they deny the value of broadcast content and could deepen funding shortages for production. Providers said the rules were set unilaterally and could cut fees by about 77.5 billion won over three years. Cable operators countered that revenue from subscription fees and home shopping carriage fees is falling and payment ratios have risen above 90 percent of subscription revenue.

South Korea industry ministry to add two materials, parts and equipment cooperation models

South Korea's Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy will add two new types to its materials, parts and equipment cooperation models: an ecosystem-completion model and a region-led model, it said on Feb. 2. The ministry began recruiting candidates and will newly identify projects under the two categories. The programme was launched after Japan's export curbs in 2019 and has supported 74 demand-supply partnerships.
