Hugging Face's Microduck AI duck robot sells over 10,000 units

Microduck, a small bipedal robot introduced by Pollen Robotics, Hugging Face's French robotics unit, has sold more than 10,000 units shortly after launch. The duck-shaped robot is priced at $399, taking orders of more than $4 million. It combines Chinese-made semiconductors with open-source software and offers tools that let users train new motions in simulation and apply them to the physical robot, though its hardware design files are not open source.

SB Energy IPO filing reveals reliance on OpenAI, linking leases, investment and board rights

OpenAI has built ties with data centre developer SB Energy that go beyond being a key customer, extending to investment and potential board influence, according to IPO filings. SB Energy disclosed a 20-year lease arrangement, stock warrants, software purchases and intellectual property-related rights with OpenAI. The filing warns that adverse changes at OpenAI could materially hurt the business. It also details warrant values and possible board nomination rights if OpenAI’s stake exceeds 5 percent.
