Shiba Inu exchange holdings are nearing a break above 87 trillion SHIB, bringing supply and demand pressure back into focus.

On Sept. 1 (local time), blockchain outlet U.Today reported Shiba Inu exchange reserves at about 86.9973 trillion SHIB, leaving 2.7 billion SHIB to reach 87 trillion SHIB.

Over the past 24 hours, exchange holdings rose 0.04%. The increase is not large, but at the current scale it is enough to top 87 trillion SHIB even without additional large transfers. If the figure keeps rising, it can be read as an increase in supply that can be traded or sold immediately. If reserves fall, it can signal tokens are moving to personal wallets.

Money flows are also tilting toward exchanges. Total inflows were tallied at 271.53 billion SHIB and total outflows at 222.25 billion SHIB. Net inflows were about 34.47 billion SHIB. Overall, inflows exceed outflows, meaning the overhang of tokens left on exchanges has not eased.

More detailed indicators are mixed. On a 7-day moving average basis, average exchange outflows fell 40.62% to about 502.1 million SHIB. At the same time, total outflows rose 0.5% and the general average outflow increased 0.51%. With a large withdrawal occurring at once, a clear trend of rapidly reducing exchange holdings is not yet evident.

Price is also moving in line with the trend. Shiba Inu rebounded near $0.000005 and is now trading at about $0.00000518. That is close to the short-term average at $0.00000501 and the 100-day exponential moving average at $0.00000498. Short-term support is holding, but upward momentum is not strong. The relative strength index (RSI) is around 54, read as between neutral and mild bullishness rather than overheated.

Overhead resistance remains. The 200-day exponential moving average is at $0.00000570. Shiba Inu recently moved above that level but quickly slipped back, adding to the burden.

What the market is watching is the move after the break, rather than 87 trillion SHIB itself. If exchange reserves clearly move above 87 trillion SHIB and keep rising, while inflows continue to exceed outflows, selling pressure may become harder to withstand. If the price holds in the $0.000005 range without breaking away and reserve growth stops remains a short-term focus.
