Korea's three mobile carriers launch Galaxy S26 preorders with promotions

South Korea's three mobile carriers began taking preorders for Samsung Electronics' Galaxy S26 on Feb. 26 and launched a drive to attract subscribers. Promotions run through March 5 and include free storage upgrades, device replacement programmes and bundled AI subscription services. SK Telecom offered event tickets and membership packages and added online trade-in and cashback deals. KT introduced a 1TB Ultra model on its site and ran experience zones. LG Uplus offered a Google AI bundle and live commerce promotions.

SK Hynix launches standardisation of next-generation memory HBF

SK Hynix is moving to establish global standards for next-generation memory HBF aimed at the AI inference era. SK Hynix and SanDisk held a consortium kickoff event in Milpitas, California, and announced their standardisation strategy for High Bandwidth Flash. The companies will jointly form a dedicated workstream under the Open Compute Project to start the process. HBF is positioned between HBM and SSDs, targeting capacity expansion and power efficiency in inference workloads.

Blomics signs joint service deal with BluePotion Games for EOS Red and Black

Blomics said on Wednesday it has signed a contract to jointly provide domestic service for the mobile MMORPGs EOS Red and EOS Black, which are developed and serviced by BluePotion Games. It called the deal a strategic partnership combining Blomics’ game service and marketing operations with BluePotion’s content development capabilities. The companies plan to operate a joint service system to provide users with a stable game environment.
