KT held the "KT K-New Deal Academy Class 1 AI Transformation (AX) Competition" from Sept. 1 to 2 at the KT Pangyo building and other training sites nationwide.

About 120 trainees from the KT K-New Deal Academy took part. The event was the first of two competitions held during the training programme.

Trainees planned and produced generative AI-based outputs that combine KT’s business with AX technology. KT organised the competition so trainees can apply AI tools and generative AI learned in the programme to solving real tasks. Working in teams, they developed ideas and completed their outputs.

The competition was conducted based on C.O.R.E, a key value of the K-New Deal Academy. C.O.R.E stands for Collaboration and communication, Ownership, Readiness and Energy, meaning positive immersion and vitality.

Awards will also be given to trainees who produced outstanding results. KT will support linking the competition outputs to portfolios that can be used in future job-search preparation.

Kim Do-hyung (김도형), head of the Gyeonggi Regional Office of Employment and Labor at the Ministry of Employment and Labor, also visited the competition site, encouraged trainees and attended a meeting to hear opinions on the training course and job-search preparation process.
