IBK Industrial Bank of Korea said on Jan. 12 it delivered 400 million won raised through its customer-participation donation campaign, 'Give LOVE', on its card app to Holt Children's Services and Good Neighbors.

The donations followed voting in a campaign held in December. Some 500,000 customers visited the IBK card app event page and voted by tapping a heart for their preferred donation projects.

The bank first delivered a total of 250 million won to Holt Children's Services. The funds are to be used for projects supporting housing and career paths for young people preparing for independence, and for creating stable living conditions for crisis-affected single-mother households.

It donated 150 million won to Good Neighbors. The money will be used for a meal support project for children who worry about meals during school breaks due to gaps in care.

An IBK official said, "This campaign is meaningful in that small acts of empathy came together to deliver practical help to marginalized neighbors in our society." The official added, "We will continue to hold various events with customers that can realize social value."
