Mgame said on Monday it has signed a contract extension with its Chinese partner Beijing Hoolai Jingwei for the China service of the massively multiplayer online role-playing game Yulgang Online.
The contract runs for 3 years from March 2026 to March 2029, and the contract fee is $10 million.
Under the deal, Yulgang Online will continue stable service in the Chinese market. Mgame and Beijing Hoolai Jingwei plan to strengthen their cooperation based on operational know-how and trust built up over a long period.
Mgame and Beijing Hoolai Jingwei have signed a total of 9 contracts from the start of the China service in 2005 through this agreement, continuing their partnership for more than 20 years.
Beijing Hoolai Jingwei has played a key role in establishing Yulgang Online as a long-running game in China, based on a strong understanding of the local market and stable operating capabilities.
Yulgang Online in China set a record by renewing its highest-ever revenue, starting with a siege battle update and a Singles' Day event in 2019.
In 2023, it also signed a license agreement with Chinese game company Kingnet Technology related to the use of graphic resources, once again proving the competitiveness of Yulgang Online's intellectual property in the Chinese market.
Mgame CEO Kwon Yi-hyung said, "Yulgang Online is a core IP proven in the Chinese market, and through this service extension agreement we have once again confirmed our IP competitiveness in China." He said, "Based on close cooperation with our partner, we will focus on stable operations and enhancing IP value."
