Mongoose AI, an artificial intelligence manufacturing solutions company, said on Jan. 12 it signed a memorandum of understanding with Nano, a specialist in SCR de-NOx catalysts, to optimise SCR catalyst processes using AI.

The agreement focuses on analysing and using data generated in SCR de-NOx catalyst production and performance evaluation to improve process stability and quality consistency, and to advance operational efficiency at manufacturing sites.

The companies plan to cooperate over the next 5 years to build AI-based process optimisation models that can be applied in the field through technical exchanges and joint research.

Mongoose AI plans to use the cooperation to validate AI applications tailored to catalyst production and evaluation processes and to derive models that can be used in actual industrial sites.

In the initial stage, the companies will pursue AI-based process optimisation cooperation centred on SCR catalyst production and evaluation processes. Based on validation results, they plan to explore additional cooperation opportunities step by step. The specific scope of application and commercialisation method will be decided depending on future discussions and validation results.

A Mongoose AI official said data-driven, precision process operations are becoming a core competitive edge in the environment and manufacturing sectors. The official said the company would combine Nano's field experience in environmental catalysts with Mongoose AI's AI technology to create effective manufacturing AI application cases.
