[DigitalToday reporter Chi-gyu Hwang] Hancom will release an 'Acid Rain' game on Feb. 26 through its typing practice service Hancom Typing, applying a track included on a new release by Big Hit Music artist Cortis (CORTIS).
The lyrics to the new-release track 'YOUNGCREATORCREW' will be unveiled for the first time through Hancom Typing's Acid Rain game. They are also set to be applied simultaneously to online transcription content.
The collaboration features a participatory play structure, expanding beyond the existing listening-focused way of enjoying music. Hancom Typing users and Cortis fans can type the new track's lyrics through 'Acid Rain play' rather than simply listening, naturally feeling the song's rhythm and sense of speed.
Hancom stressed that the collaboration is meaningful because Hancom, which is pursuing service innovation based on AI technology, and the leading music label Big Hit Music combined their respective strengths to present a new content model that fuses music and IT.
A Hancom official said, "Hancom Typing is evolving beyond a simple typing practice service into a cultural platform that combines music and games." The official added, "We plan to actively pursue collaborations with a range of content, including music and character IP."
