Park In-hwan (박인환), head of the Ministry of Science and ICT's Postal Service, held an "Umunhyeondap Relay" event at the Jeonbuk Regional Post Office on Feb. 26. He met with a labour union, a director general and others.

The Umunhyeondap Relay is a communication campaign named after a shortened phrase meaning, "Answers to post office problems are in the field." It reflects Park's philosophy of seeking the future direction of the postal service through candid talks with staff. Park visited the Jeonbuk office for the first time since taking office, sharing management policies with frontline workers and discussing future development directions.

"Based on an objective diagnosis of the reality of the postal service, I will innovate the inefficiencies in work processes," Park said. "I will listen carefully to employees' valuable opinions and draw up a concrete execution plan," he said.

The Postal Service plans to continue the outreach in sequence, starting with the Jeonbuk office and running through next month, including the Jeonnam office, the Information Management Institute and the Jeju office, the Gyeongin office, the Chungcheong office and the Human Resources Development Institute, the Gyeongbuk office and the Procurement Center, the Seoul office, the Gangwon office and the Busan office.
