[Digital Today reporter Hojeong Lee] NCSoft, also known as NC, on Feb. 26 disclosed key results for "Lineage Classic".
Since its launch on Feb. 7, peak concurrent users for Lineage Classic have exceeded 320,000. Cumulative sales have topped 40 billion won, and it is posting average daily sales of more than 2.1 billion won.
Lineage Classic has also risen to the top in PC cafe usage rankings. As of Feb. 25, it ranked No. 2 among PC games serviced in South Korea with a 9.63 percent share. It is the highest-ranked title in the massively multiplayer online role-playing game (MMORPG) genre.
It is also drawing strong popularity in the "watching games" market. On YouTube, cumulative views of Lineage Classic videos have exceeded 147 million. It is gaining popularity on streaming platforms even without the "BJ promotion" marketing often used in the MMORPG genre.
Lineage Classic is a PC game in which NC implements an early-2000s version of "Lineage", which it has been servicing since 1998.
