Quantum technology company SDT said on Jan. 12 it raised a total of 30 billion won from private equity fund (PEF) manager Praxis Capital Partners and NH Investment & Securities.
SDT said it will focus the funds on building AI-quantum hybrid infrastructure and upgrading its technology. It aims to present next-generation computing solutions that respond to rising computing demand in the AI era and secure market leadership.
SDT said Praxis Capital, which led the investment, cited SDT's differentiated quantum-AI hybrid full-stack technology and market scalability as key reasons for the deal.
SDT said it is also speeding up evaluations and IPO preparations for a technology-track listing with NH Investment & Securities, its lead underwriter.
SDT Chief Executive Jiwon Yoon said, "This investment is the result of recognition for SDT's vision of a hybrid ecosystem that combines AI and quantum computing." She said, "Based on the secured funds, we will lead next-generation infrastructure markets such as AI data centers and make a leap into a global quantum company through an IPO within the year."
