Namu AX said on Wednesday it recorded second-quarter consolidated revenue of 35.4 billion won and operating profit of 300 million won.

Revenue rose 96.7 percent from 18.0 billion won a year earlier. Operating profit swung to the black from an operating loss of 1.2 billion won in the second quarter of last year.

First-half consolidated revenue totalled 72.4 billion won, up 106.3 percent from 35.1 billion won a year earlier. Operating profit came to 800 million won, reversing an operating loss of 1.9 billion won in the first half of last year.

On a separate basis, second-quarter revenue was 12.9 billion won, up 87.0 percent from 6.9 billion won a year earlier. The virtualisation and cloud business accounted for half of separate revenue. Operating loss narrowed to 400 million won from 900 million won a year earlier, and net loss narrowed to 500 million won from 1.1 billion won.

Co-CEO Hwa-joong Kim (김화중) said, "The first half was a period when our business portfolio became even more solid as the share of our own solutions increased as well as sales expanding. In the second half, based on our existing customer base and product competitiveness, we will make the performance of our AI infrastructure platform business more concrete and raise growth and profitability together."
