Inserting links in Microsoft Word is set to become more convenient. Previously, users had to open a menu or use the Ctrl+K shortcut to add a link. Going forward, they will only need to paste a link directly onto the text.
The Verge reported on Jan. 9 that Microsoft has significantly improved the process for inserting links within Word documents.
The feature is supported on the web, Windows and Mac versions. It allows users to add links quickly, similar to WordPress and other CMS text editors. Microsoft is gradually rolling out the new feature to web users. Word for Windows can use it from version 2511 and later, and Word for Mac from version 16.104 and later.
