[DigitalToday reporter Chi-gyu Hwang] ThreatModeler will acquire Spain-based cybersecurity startup IriusRisk to strengthen AI-based threat modeling, SiliconANGLE reported on Jan. 9 local time. Detailed terms were not disclosed.
Threat modeling is a security diagram that analyzes application vulnerabilities and simulates how hackers could exploit them. ThreatModeler provides a platform that uses AI to automate the process and assess the severity of vulnerabilities to set priorities.
IriusRisk also supports developers in identifying security flaws in advance at the application design stage through its threat modeling solution Bex AI with similar functions. It can also check compliance with data regulations such as GDPR and HIPAA.
