K Bank will launch an "AI transfer" service in which artificial intelligence finds the relevant account and builds a remittance screen when users enter a recipient and amount in a sentence or by voice.

K Bank said on July 27 it is launching an AI transfer service that allows remittances through sentence input or voice commands.

AI transfer is a service in which AI analyses what customers type or say to find the recipient and configure the transfer screen. Customers can make transfers using everyday phrasing without directly entering an account number or checking recent transfer history.

If users register frequently used accounts with forms of address or nicknames such as "Mom", they can pull up transfer information using only a sentence or voice command such as, "Send 50,000 won to Mom."

It also provides a function that recommends amounts based on the relationship with the recipient. If a user types, "How much is appropriate for my nephew's allowance?" or "My assistant manager is getting married," AI analyses situations such as allowances or wedding gifts and proposes a remittance amount.

Voice transfers can be used on both Android and iOS operating systems. K Bank said it is the first in the financial industry to support voice remittances on both operating systems.

Actual transfers proceed only after customers make a final check of the transfer information and press the "Send" button. While AI analyses a customer's request and suggests the recipient and amount, it was designed not to execute remittances arbitrarily.

A K Bank official said, "We implemented this so customers can make transfers using expressions they normally use, without having to remember an account number or copy and paste it," adding, "We will continuously improve financial services using AI technology."
