Hana Financial Group has held a practice-focused “AX workshop” on generative artificial intelligence (AI) for 140 executives from its affiliates, moving to drive AI-based work innovation and a shift in organisational culture across the group.
Hana Financial Group said on July 27 it held the “AX workshop” for executives from its affiliates.
The workshop was designed not only to improve understanding of AI technology, but also to help group leaders apply generative AI to actual work and spread a culture of AI use within the organisation.
Based on results from a prior diagnostic assessment of AI-use capabilities, participants carried out practice sessions applying generative AI to management and financial tasks.
Training was run in a format in which executives directly designed AI agents to support their real work, including briefings on management issues, analysis of financial markets and industry trends, report writing and summarising meeting materials.
Participants implemented AI-use scenarios reflecting their responsibilities and organisational characteristics, and experienced ways to use generative AI in the work process beyond a simple support tool.
Hana Financial Group plans to expand AI training step by step to frontline staff, starting with workshops for executives.
Centered on the Hana Financial Convergence Technology Institute, it is also pushing to develop AI services and models specialised for financial tasks in collaboration with business departments.
It is currently widening the scope of AI use in areas including automation of import and export operations, support for corporate credit reviews, asset management and risk management. It also plans to introduce AI agent services supporting individual tasks in stages.
It plans to build a system that can continuously develop, operate and improve AI services internally, and to combine AI models specialised for finance with generative AI to raise work efficiency and accuracy.
It also plans to expand cooperation with external AI specialist firms and innovation companies and to push to build an AI ecosystem linked to the group's digital innovation strategy.
A Hana Financial official said, “AI is core infrastructure that determines the competitiveness of financial companies and a new standard for the future of finance,” adding, “We will move beyond a financial company that simply uses AI to become a financial group that works with AI, and continue customer-centered innovation.”
