Hancom said on July 23 it supplied its AI document-writing solution, Hancom Assistant, to Korea Hydro & Nuclear Power (KHNP).

Under the project, KHNP employees can use Hy-NuRI, a nuclear power plant-specialised generative AI platform built by KHNP, together with Hancom Assistant. It lets them carry out document writing and information searches more efficiently.

Hancom Assistant links with Hy-NuRI and drafts documents based on internal knowledge data in nuclear plant operations, power generation, construction and safety. Users can search for needed information with natural-language commands and generate draft reports, edit sentences and summarise documents. It also supports data-linked document writing and the application of standard templates.

Hancom CEO Yeon-su Kim (김연수) said it was meaningful to have built an environment in which generative AI can be used safely in the nuclear power sector, a core national industry. He said the company will continue to help companies across industries use generative AI safely and efficiently, and will expand its business at home and abroad as a global sovereign agentic OS company.
