Shinhan Investment Corp's net profit for the first half of this year more than doubled from a year earlier, helped by higher income from stock brokerage and financial product fees.
Shinhan Investment Corp said on Wednesday its net profit for the first half of 2026 rose 123.1 percent from the same period a year earlier to 577.7 billion won.
Operating profit rose 135.0 percent from a year earlier to 748.4 billion won, and fee income climbed 138.6 percent from the first half of last year to 935.4 billion won. It was seen as driven by an increase in trading value in the domestic stock market and strong financial product sales.
By segment, brokerage fees accounted for the largest share at 677.9 billion won. Financial product fees came to 85.7 billion won, investment banking fees to 73.4 billion won, and other fees to 98.4 billion won.
Product management income rose 56.3 percent from a year earlier to 235.4 billion won. Net interest income increased 3.4 percent from the same period last year to 303.3 billion won.
Second-quarter net profit rose 0.3 percent from the previous quarter to 289.3 billion won.
