[Digital Today reporter Lee Ho-jung] Nexon said on July 23 it has officially launched the subculture collectible RPG "Hegan: Erusil" in the South Korean market.

The new title is a mobile and PC-based cross-play game developed by China’s Bilibili. It is a project introduced through "select all", a new publishing brand Nexon recently launched to discover promising external games based on a data-driven game review process. South Korean users can download and play the game from Google Play, Apple’s App Store and Nexon.com starting on Thursday.

The build being introduced in South Korea is a further upgraded version of one previously verified through service in overseas markets. Since first launching in the global market in 2023, "Hegan: Erusil" has accepted user feedback and overhauled its gameplay and character design, and then rolled out a 2.0 remake version sequentially in China in December 2024 and in Taiwan, Hong Kong and Macau in December 2025.

The game is set in a dark fantasy world where the real world, in which magic and science coexist, stands in opposition to the nightmare world "Fantasy World" where human souls are confined. In terms of gameplay, it puts forward a hybrid combat system that combines real-time strategic controls with convenience for progression. It offers real-time battles on 3D graphics-based battlefields using various character and skill combinations, while applying an idle system to character growth and resource farming sections to greatly improve play efficiency, it said.

Nexon is launching a large-scale marketing promotion for participating users to mark the official release in South Korea. New users can obtain the SSR character "Eruya", an SSR rookie selection ticket and 50 Starry Sky recruitment tickets through a seven-day attendance event. Completing growth and content quests grants the UR character "Ruko" and various recruitment tickets, and benefits are provided that allow users to draw up to 25 SSR characters depending on cumulative login records.
