Pearl Abyss said on Jan. 9 it ran an internal 'Greener Us Challenge' campaign to encourage employees to practice environmental protection.
The Greener Us Challenge is an internal campaign that ran from April to November last year. It was designed to spread eco-friendly practices in daily life through employees' use of tumblers.
Employees voted on a donation theme from two final candidates, 'plastic waste improvement' and 'wildlife protection'. 'Plastic waste improvement' was selected as the theme.
During the campaign, employees used tumblers at the company cafe a total of 10,420 times. Pearl Abyss accumulated 300 won per tumbler use, creating a 3,126,000 won donation fund.
The donation fund will be delivered to the Environmental Foundation, a public interest foundation specialising in the environment. It is to be used to support participating groups in the 'Jigu Sseuddamm' campaign for waste reduction and marine cleanup activities.
Pearl Abyss said, "We plan to continue employee participation-based donation activities through the Greener Us Challenge campaign in 2026 as well."
