Korbit has added Shinhan Bank’s electronic-signature-based authentication service to its account-linking process. Users can choose their preferred method alongside the existing automated response system (ARS) verification.

Korbit said on July 14 it introduced Shinhan Bank’s “Shinhan Certificate” as a new authentication method to improve convenience in the account-linking procedure.

Previously, users had to verify their identity through ARS authentication when linking an account. With this update adding authentication via the Shinhan Certificate, users can choose an authentication method that suits their environment.

The Shinhan Certificate is an electronic-signature-based authentication service. Users can proceed with the account-linking process through the Shinhan Certificate without waiting for an ARS connection.

Jungwoo Lee (이정우), Korbit’s chief technology officer and chief product officer, said, “With this introduction, customers can choose an authentication method that suits their usage environment.” He added, “We will continue to enhance the service so we can provide a convenient and safe service.”
