Xiaomi Korea said on Wednesday it will officially launch the Redmi Watch 6 smartwatch in South Korea.
The Redmi Watch 6 is a smartwatch featuring a 2.07-inch AMOLED display, a battery that lasts up to 24 days, and an aluminium alloy frame. It is compatible with both Apple iPhones and Android smartphones. It offers exercise and health management features and everyday smart functions.
The new product is 9.9 mm thick and uses a 2 mm ultra-slim symmetrical bezel. It has a screen-to-body ratio of 82 percent. It delivers high visibility with brightness of up to 2,000 nits.
The battery capacity is 550 mAh. It can be used for up to 24 days under light use, up to 12 days under normal use and up to 7 days under intensive use. It also improved durability by applying a high-strength aluminium alloy frame.
It also strengthened exercise and health features. It supports dual L1 five-system global navigation satellite system (GNSS) to improve location tracking accuracy. With an upgraded photoplethysmography (PPG) sensor, it improved heart rate measurement accuracy by 3 to 5 percent compared with the previous model. It also supports real-time underwater heart rate measurement while swimming.
The Redmi Watch 6, which begins pre-orders on Wednesday, will be available at Xiaomi’s official online and offline stores, Coupang and Naver Brand Store, among others. The retail price is 139,800 won. It comes in three colours: Obsidian Black, Silver Gray and Glacier Blue.
