KT said on Monday it published its “2026 KT ESG Report,” which compiles management performance and mid- to long-term strategies across environment, society and governance.

KT has published a report every year since 2006 to share performance and the current status of each ESG area with stakeholders. This year’s report, written to reflect international standards including GRI Standards, the UN Global Compact, TCFD and SASB, comprehensively includes ESG management strategies and execution results across environment, society and governance based on its AI transformation (AX) company vision.

In the environmental section, it introduced the launch of a net-zero alliance involving 12 major group affiliates and a renewable energy transition strategy based on power purchase agreements (PPA), aiming to achieve carbon neutrality by 2050. It also included results from green-tech energy efficiency research to minimise data centre incoming power and internal power distribution losses amid a surge in power demand driven by increased data traffic.

In the social section, it disclosed efforts and progress to boost service trust, focusing on strengthening information security systems and an AI-based network stabilisation strategy. It also disclosed results from efforts to expand social inclusion using AI and support vulnerable groups.

In the governance section, it highlighted activities to embed ethical and compliance management across overall management. It summarised results from activities including internal compliance systems aligned with government and market benchmarks and a systematised fair trade compliance programme.

Lee Jung-woo (이정우), an executive director in charge of KT’s ESG promotion, said, “As an AX platform company representing South Korea, KT will create sustainable growth and social value across all areas of ESG.”
