Hana Bank is running a practical training programme to help young people strengthen their job skills for employment in the financial sector.
Hana Bank said on Wednesday it was selected as an operating institution for the Ministry of Employment and Labor-led K-New Deal Academy and will recruit and run the Hana K-New Deal Finance Academy from July.
The Hana K-New Deal Finance Academy is a finance-sector employment programme planned directly by Hana Bank.
Training will be held for three months from July 14 to Oct. 16 at Hana Bank’s Daejeon building and will mainly target young people in the Chungcheong region.
The course includes understanding the financial industry and banking jobs, digital finance and the use of AI, ESG and sustainable finance, and project practice and presentations.
Hana Bank will also run field-linked programmes so trainees can experience actual financial company work environments and organisational culture.
Trainees will receive a monthly training stipend of 500,000 won. Applications are open until July 4.
An official from Hana Bank’s ESG Finance Department said, "We will continue to expand win-win programmes so young people and local communities can grow together."
