LG Energy Solution is targeting the European market with an integrated battery solution for AI data centers. The company said on Sunday it will take part in ees Europe 2026, a battery and energy storage exhibition in Munich, Germany.
The exhibition will feature a power supply solution tailored for AI data centers. It will showcase a product lineup spanning data center operations, from grid battery energy storage systems (BESS) to uninterruptible power supplies (UPS) and battery backup units (BBU).
As a grid ESS product, it will display the JF2S DC LINK 5.0 equipped with lithium iron phosphate (LFP) cells produced at its plant in Wroclaw, Poland. The structure completes the process locally in Poland, from battery cell production to system assembly. The company said it has also put in place a cybersecurity system to respond to on-site hacking threats by sourcing key electrical and electronic components from a security certification company with high reliability. For emergency power for data centers, it will also unveil a next-generation JP6 UPS rack system and a 2170 BBU for high-performance servers.
LG Energy Solution will also disclose its response status for the Battery Passport, which digitally manages battery information across the full life cycle. Europe has recently been strengthening regulations in a direction that mandates securing transparency across the full battery life cycle and building local supply chains through the EU Battery Regulation (EUBR) and the Industry Acceleration Act (IAA). The company plans to respond proactively to these regulations through its Poland-centered local production system and its Battery Passport system.
An LG Energy Solution official said, "This exhibition will serve as an opportunity to prove LG Energy Solution's capabilities as it positions itself as a key partner in AI data center power infrastructure," adding, "Based on solid local production capabilities in Europe and advanced regulatory response capabilities, we will continue to create differentiated customer value in the European market."
