Moduijuchajang exceeded 60 billion won in parking voucher transaction value in 2025. Moduijuchajang, an online parking platform operated by Socar, said on Thursday that transaction value from January to mid-December last year rose 28.7 percent from a year earlier, topping 60 billion won for the first time. Cumulative subscribers reached 5.5 million.

Large concerts and sports events increased parking demand. Parking voucher transaction value within a 1-km radius of Goyang Sports Complex surged 336.7 percent from a year earlier, while the number of transactions jumped 304.1 percent. Transaction value also rose near major performance venues including Olympic Gymnastics Arena, up 109.0 percent, Gocheok Sky Dome, up 42.0 percent, and Jamsil Indoor Stadium, up 39.2 percent.

An analysis said the remodeling of the Olympic Stadium at the Jamsil Sports Complex led to more diversified demand. As demand for performances spread to other facilities, parking demand also shifted to multiple areas.

On the day of the Yeouido Fireworks Festival, parking voucher transaction value near the venue rose 25.0 percent from the previous event day, marking the highest daily sales on record. Backed by large football events including a Tottenham Hotspur-Newcastle United match, the number of transactions and transaction value at parking lots near Seoul World Cup Stadium rose 99.2 percent and 51.2 percent, respectively.

Transaction value for the resident-priority parking sharing business rose 12 percent from a year earlier. The average price per hour for shared parking spaces in 2025 was 1,253 won for the program, under which residents share parking spots allocated by local governments during idle hours.

A Socar official said demand to save on parking fees appeared to continue steadily amid high prices. Usage was highest in Mapo-gu, followed by Seocho-gu, Jongno-gu, Songpa-gu and Yongsan-gu.

Average monthly revenue for parking lots operating the parking lot value-up service was 780,000 won, it said. The service is a parking lot monetisation consulting business launched by Moduijuchajang in 2023, with an average of 400 applications per month over the past two years.

Kim Dong-hyun, chief growth officer at Socar, said closely monitoring large-scale events and efficiently using idle parking spaces, among other moves, helped diversify business strategy and deliver meaningful results in key indicators in 2025. He said the company would continue to advance its platform services to provide drivers with a convenient parking experience and deliver the value of maximising revenue to parking lot owners.
