Musinsa said on Thursday it will open its first offline shoe specialty select shop, Musinsa Kicks, near Hongdae Entrance in Seoul on Friday.

Musinsa Kicks is a shoe-focused space reflecting Musinsa’s identity, which started as a shoe community in 2001. The Hongdae store spans floors 1 to 3 above ground and covers about 1,124 square metres. It offers themed curation and a large shoe wall to provide a differentiated shopping experience.

The store applies an online-to-offline (O4O) service that lets customers check price, stock, reviews and styling content through product QR codes. It also has category-specific zones such as running shoes, outdoor and gorpcore, and leather shoes.

To mark the grand opening, it will hold events including releases of limited-edition sneakers and a random package “Super Bag”. Musinsa plans to open additional Musinsa Kicks stores in major commercial districts such as Seongsu and Gangnam in the first half of this year.

A Musinsa official said Musinsa Kicks Hongdae is a space that brings together Musinsa’s sincerity about shoes, its curation capabilities and platform technology. The official added the company plans to open additional Musinsa Kicks stores in major commercial districts in Seoul, including Seongsu and Gangnam, in the first half of this year.
