Netmarble is moving to target the massively multiplayer online role-playing game (MMORPG) market with a new title from a newly established developer staffed by key developers of "Lineage M". It aims to differentiate through separate server operations tailored to user preferences and an original system.
Netmarble said it will officially launch its new MMORPG "Sol: Enchant" in South Korea at noon on the 18th.
Sol: Enchant, developed by startup Altnine and published by Netmarble, promotes the motto of an "omniscient MMORPG" and introduced a differentiated "Divine Authority" system as a core gameplay element.
With the official launch, a total of 6 worlds and 30 servers will open. A key feature is strict separation between a "general world" that only regular users can enter and a "streamer world" where internet broadcasters can operate. The company explained this reduces unnecessary conflict between users and allows each to focus on their playing environment.
Users can download mobile and PC versions through Google Play, Apple's App Store and the official brand site. It supports cross-platform play. Using "Netmarble Connect", Netmarble's mobile remote service application, users can remotely access a game running on a PC from outside and check community updates.
A large-scale event will also run to mark the launch. Reward drop rates for all boss monsters will be tripled, and users who are the first on each server to reach level 50 will be guaranteed a hero-grade item, "Baltaros' Ring".
