KT said on Tuesday it is providing users of low-cost plans with both high levels of subsidies and a customer reward programme.
KT provides public subsidies of up to several hundred thousand won even to subscribers on low-cost plans. From February, it will run a customer reward programme offering data, content, membership and safety and security services.
It will provide an extra 100 GB of data each month for six months. The data can also be shared with smart devices such as watches or tablets. Customers who travel or go on business trips frequently can use 50 percent more roaming data.
Customers can also choose 1 of 2 OTT subscriptions, including TVING, to access content. KT said discounts at popular brands through its lifestyle-focused membership can reduce everyday costs, including free Mega MGC Coffee.
Users can also use safety and security insurance for 2 years that covers risks that may occur in daily life, including mobile phone phishing and hacking, online shopping mall fraud and second-hand transaction scams.
KT said: "Considering fees and usage conditions comprehensively, it will be an opportunity to use KT in the most reasonable way."
