AI music startup Neutune will take part in CES 2026, an IT exhibition held in Las Vegas from Jan. 6 to 9, showcasing AI research results and services tailored to Korean traditional music.
The CES participation was arranged as part of a “cultural sector AI training data building and utilization service discovery project” led by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and the Korea Culture Information Service Agency (led by WIPCO, with Neutune, List and Thirtyware participating).
The focus is on building Korean-style cultural AI training data and promoting its potential use in global markets so Korean culture, especially Korean traditional music content, can be generated on global AI platforms without distortion.
Neutune is part of a consortium led by cultural AI company WIPCO and is developing a Korean traditional vocal AI in cooperation with the National Gugak Center. At CES 2026, visitors can directly experience various Korean traditional music AI services, including the vocal AI, through Neutune’s AI music service MixAudio.
Neutune CEO Jong-pil Lee said, “This CES 2026 participation will be a historic moment in which Korean traditional art, gugak, meets AI technology and is provided to creators around the world as a new creative resource.” He added, “We will continue to take the lead in spreading the value of K-gugak in the global music technology ecosystem while preserving the identity of gugak.”
