Veterinary hospital EMR company IntoCNS said on Tuesday it is stepping up its entry into Japan by partnering with local company Vintec.
The two companies will jointly promote sales and marketing of IntoCNS' cloud-based veterinary EMR, IntoVet Cloud, to animal hospitals in Japan. IntoCNS plans to provide a Japanese-language version by July. It will run a proof of concept with local animal hospitals to lay the groundwork for a full-scale entry into the Japanese market. The companies will also hold development talks for localization in Japan.
Vintec is a startup that provides integrated solutions including IT systems and medical devices for animal hospitals. It is working with Panimec, a mid-sized Japanese veterinary hospital group that operates multiple animal hospitals mainly in the Kanto metropolitan area such as Tokyo, Chiba and Kanagawa. IntoCNS said it expects rapid market penetration based on Vintec's local veterinary hospital network.
IntoCNS plans to use the partnership with Vintec as a springboard to secure leadership in the cloud EMR market in Southeast Asia over the next 2 years. It plans to gradually expand its business into major Asian markets.
