SK Shieldus disclosed key achievements and its AI-based future business direction to mark the first anniversary of CEO Minki Sik (민기식)'s appointment.
The company said Minki Sik has focused on strengthening integrated capabilities spanning physical security and cyber security as AI changes operations and the security environment across industries.
SK Shieldus has re-established safety as a core management task and strengthened on-site safety management. It created a safety and health task force under the chief safety and health officer. It also expanded safety culture improvement activities with direct participation by employees.
SK Shieldus is positioning AI as a key future growth engine and expanding the scope of AI applications across physical security and cyber security. In physical security, it is speeding up the expansion of AI CCTV that has received TTA certification for private-sector video information processing devices. In cyber security, it is strengthening threat detection and response through its AI-based security monitoring platform Secudium and MDR. It is also pursuing research and development of new AI security technologies through its in-house expert group.
SK Shieldus plans to speed up preparations for future businesses. In physical security, it will expand service areas to respond to changes in social structure, including senior care and unmanned stores, in line with a trend in which customers' expectations are widening to include safety, care and operational convenience. In cyber security, it plans to introduce a more proactive next-generation security operations system based on AI security technologies, including the 추진 of an Agentic SOC.
Minki Sik said, "The spread of AI is demanding fundamental changes in the security industry, too." He said, "Going forward, security will expand beyond preventing threats to managing customers' business risks. SK Shieldus will broaden the role of security that customers need based on experience accumulated across physical and cyber security."
